Sustainability
Sustainability at Streaky Sounds
Streaky Sounds is proud to be taking meaningful steps towards a greener, more sustainable festival experience. We believe in protecting our stunning coastline and community for generations to come. These are the steps we're taking to reduce our footprint, and how you can help.
Free Water Refill Station
We’re proud to partner with SA Water to provide the Quench Bench, offering free, chilled drinking water to all attendees. To reduce plastic waste, we ask that you bring your own empty reusable water bottle and fill up as often as you like!
Recycling and Waste Reduction
We operate a no-glass policy for everyone’s safety and the environment. Please note that bottles are not allowed within the festival grounds. Cans only and make use of our clearly marked recycling bins throughout the site.
All of our food and drink vendors are required to use biodegradable and compostable packaging, ensuring your snacks, meals, and drinks are served with minimal environmental impact.
Festival Shuttle Service
To help reduce traffic and emissions, we offer a free Festival Shuttle running to and from key locations around Streaky Bay. It’s a convenient, low-impact way to travel, so leave the car at home and ride with us!
Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Wirangu people, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We are grateful to host our festival on their country, and we honour their ongoing connection to land, sea, and community.
Join Us in Making a Difference
By choosing to travel smart, reduce waste, and refill instead of rebuy, you're helping us build a festival that’s not just memorable, but meaningful. Together, we can keep Streaky Sounds as clean, green, and vibrant as the community that makes it possible.
